Agroturismo Es Quatre Cantons
A Secluded Paradise Among Mallorca’s Vineyards
Ever heard about the traditionnal mallorcan fincas? This story is about the first one I ever visited !
The moment I turned onto the quiet country road leading to Es Quatre Cantons, I knew I’d found something special. As the yellow Mallorcan stone farmhouse revealed itself, surrounded by sprawling vineyards that stretched toward distant mountains, the hustle of tourist-filled beaches seemed to fade away completely.
Set within expansive grounds of grapevines and farmland, this authentic agroturismo offers a slice of rural Mallorcan life that most visitors to the island never experience – complete with a gorgeous pool, farm animals wandering the grounds, and dining experiences that make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon the island’s best-kept secret.
The rooms
The accommodation at Es Quatre Cantons perfectly balances rustic charm with modern comfort. Each room is completely different, offering a unique experience depending on which you choose.
During my stay, I was lucky enough to enjoy a Junior Suite with a private balcony overlooking a fascinating cactus plantation. The canopy bed added a touch of romance, while the spacious bathroom made the whole experience feel luxurious despite the rural setting.
All rooms come equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, a kettle, and minibar. But what really makes them special is how they incorporate elements of the original farm buildings while providing all the comforts you’d expect from high-quality accommodation.
Whether you choose a Standard Double, Superior Double with private terrace, spacious Junior Suite, or the 60m² Family Junior Suite (perfect for groups of four), you’ll find yourself surrounded by authentic Mallorcan character.
Dining and Drinks
Breakfast at Es Quatre Cantons was one of my favorite parts of each day. The buffet is served on a terrace overlooking the pool and vineyards – talk about a view to wake up to! Everything is homemade and showcases both European classics and Mallorcan specialties that give you a true taste of the island.
In the evenings, the property transforms into something magical. Tables are scattered across the lawn, lit by candlelight, creating the most intimate and romantic atmosphere. We enjoyed a dinner here that rivaled any fancy restaurant, but with the added bonus of being surrounded by nature under the stars.
Throughout the day, you can order cocktails poolside – perfect for those lazy afternoons when you just want to soak up the sun without fighting for a lounger (there are plenty to go around, including canopy beds that make you feel like royalty).
Did I mention they produce their own wine? It’s a little sweet for my usual preference, but there’s something special about sipping wine made from the very vineyards you’re looking at!
Wellness and Relaxation
While there’s no formal spa, the entire property feels like a wellness retreat. The beautiful pool sits in front of the main building, surrounded by comfortable loungers and those amazing canopy beds I mentioned.
What makes relaxation here so special is the atmosphere – birds singing, distant mountains creating a dramatic backdrop, and the complete absence of the crowds you’ll find at coastal resorts. I spent hours just reading by the pool, occasionally looking up to watch horses grazing nearby.

Unique Experiences
You’re in the heart of Mallorca’s wine country – something many visitors don’t even realize exists! The property itself produces wine, and there are numerous local wineries to explore in the surrounding area.
What I found most magical was the contrast between this experience and the Mallorca most people know.
Here, you can start your day watching the sunrise over vineyards, spend the afternoon exploring authentic villages where locals perform traditional dances (not for tourists, but for themselves!), and still make it to a beautiful beach before dinner if you wish.
The central location means everything on the island is accessible within 30-40 minutes by car, yet you return each evening to tranquility that coastal properties simply can’t offer.
One of my biggest surprises was how much I enjoyed exploring the central villages. Binissalem with its wine heritage, Inca with its leather goods and Thursday market, and Sineu with its charming central square – each offers a glimpse into real Mallorcan life.
I spent one morning just sitting in a café in Inca, watching locals go about their day, hearing Spanish all around me instead of English or German. It felt like I’d discovered a secret Mallorca that most tourists miss entirely!
Don’t leave without trying the local specialties – panades (meat or vegetable-filled pies perfect for picnics) and sobrassada (a spicy spreadable chorizo that will change your sandwich game forever).
The beauty of staying at Es Quatre Cantons is that you get to experience this authentic side of the island while still having easy access to those postcard-perfect beaches when you want them. It’s truly the best of both worlds – and once you’ve experienced it, those all-inclusive resorts will never look the same again!
